Biergarten on Lamar | Prices in Dallas are Too Damn High

I was in Dallas for business and stopped in to Biergarten on Lamar downtown Dallas, TX for a quick pint.  With a decent selection of beers on tap I ordered a Franziskaner Weissbier. Franzikaner is a german wheat beer that can be found pretty much anywhere now but since I was at a Biergarten I figured I’d indulge.

The barkeep poured my pint and said “$9.17”

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!

$9.17 for a pint???

I had just visited Reunion Tower and it was hot outside! The beer went down smooth and was refreshing but I couldn’t bring myself to order more than one because it was so damn expensive.

Living in Austin I am used to $5 pints at local breweries and the most I think I have ever paid was about $6.50 for a higher ABV Beer or special brew, but damn $9.17 a pint!

Dallas y’all play too much!

I am going to be headed back to D-Town for a few more business meetings so I may have to check out a few other places.  What do y’all recommend?
